I was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and found my way back to Vancouver Island in 2014 after earning my BEd at the University of Alberta, my MEd at the University of Calgary and teaching in various positions in Abbotsford, Calgary and Abu Dhabi. Now, in my 8th year as a teacher with Navigate, I am constantly learning more about the world of blended learning, trying to apply what I learned about online teaching and learning in the OLTD program at VIU, and searching for ways to build a sense of community and create meaningful learning opportunities for my students. Outside of school, I love to step away from technology and enjoy travelling as much as possible and rediscovering this amazing island that I live on.
